Actually, the people who are working on GW2 are a TOTALLY seperate team than GW1. So they actually DO have time to work on this, they just wont implement it.

If I am correct ANet has already said that if they added more storage it would really hurt the servers, so more lag for storage your choice either way there will be QQ.

the point was that paying for storage space = revenue for server upgrades
if anet wants to purely profit from it without makin sure that lag does not increase
thats their prerogative

I totally agree. They give us more items, Books, consumables etc but not the extra storage space needed for these things. When you consider most of us have extra armour and extra weapons for different areas, and extra weapons for each of our heroes, plus mini pets etc, etc, etc, it certainly doesn't leave any space in the chest. I have 2 accounts of 15 characters on each but only 5 on each account that are in play. That is 20 characters I have bought just to use as mules. Having to log on and off, over and over to bring on mules is just ridiculous. I would be happy to pay for more space in the chest. Even better would be a chest for me and one for each of my heroes. Even if the hero chest was only one page.
It seems very strange to me that the free Asian games e.g. Silkroad can and do give a huge amount of storage but the American games can't (or should that be won't)

+1 for this
but guildwars is nearly dead now gw2 is on the way, i cant see them adding anything like this
it took them over 2 years to give us extra storage space.

I would gladly pay 10 dollars even 20 for twenty extra slots on my chest as opposed to having all these characters logging between to find my customized sword of enchanting or mod needed atm. With extra storage all I have to do is go to my chest and pull it out! Characters are not for storage chests are let me BUY more space. YOU WIN WE ALL WIN. (PROFIT INCREASED PLAYABILTY IS BETTER)

Well I of course know this. I just hope that there's not many people working with GW1 unless skill balance etc. naturally.

book storage
Hi
I don't know if someone has already thought of it,
but I think it would be great to have book storage.
This because since a previous update there too many
books in my opinion: Factions HM/NM, Elona HM/NM,
Gwen HM/NM, Gwen Dungeons HM/NM, Tyria HM/NM,
Heroes of Tyria, BMP, Zho's Journal and MOX.

Perhaps I have overlooked something but why is it that none of the solid state items such as Reward Tokens, Runes, etc. stack? I think it should be a given that items that do not have any characteristics such as weapons and armor should be stackable.
I am also a strong believer in being able to purchase more storage. Having 4-5 Mules is annoying and not all that necessary.

Maybe they should just have traders for Mods and inscriptions. How much storage is take up with extra weapons and mods that you think you might need? If we could pick up that Ebon bow string we need for a build rather than keep it in storage or spam trade and hope to find it, that would go a long ways towards clearing out my inventory. The only mods I would keep then are the really expensive ones.

EDIT: just saw that someone above me already thought of it

Storage
Armor storage ftw, i couldn't ask for more...
they give me a HoM to put elite sets there. u say i can put all sets at the same time, then i have it. now whos gonna carry 17 sets of warrior armors? my useless necro and dervish of course...
mods/inscriptions stackable would help a lot too.

Armor, dye, book, and key storage would be nice. Also, common crafting materials should stack higher, to around 500 maybe. After all, they are common materials... doesn't make sense that rare materials stack to the same amount.
Runes/inscriptions/etc. stacking is a bad idea; that would just promote unnecessary hoarding. Prices are low enough as is. Same with minipets (and greens, wtf???)

Prior to adding this feature, we did look into adding a Storybook tab to the Xunlai storage boxes. However, when we looked at available server space, we found that this was not feasible. To increase player storage by adding new tabs, we would have needed to expand our existing server space or purchase additional servers. We are actively exploring alternative ways to relieve inventory pressure and would like to reassure players that this is an issue very much on our minds.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in a previous message ( 13+ pages) but according to the developers, the problem is the server space.
Maybe as suggested above, increasing the stack size might be more feasible than adding another tab or changing an item to be stackabe.

If I'm going to be paying money for more storage space, I want double the storage space I have now, because I can effectively get that by buying new accounts cheap off of discount websites and such. $5 prophecies from amazon on black friday, that's 8 characters and 4 tabs worth of storage for the $10 suggested in this thread.

That's what I am trying to say. I think if a quarter if the people here are willing to drop $10 per extra chest, they can afford an extra server and still make a few bucks. Assuming the purchaser has all three games, that is four tabs, and the same as buying an extra account and populating it with four guys with expanded bags but no belts. The lack of the 20 spaces from the belts would more than be made up for by the convenience of not having to log into two computers or search through multiple toons to find all my stuff.

So they have enough server space to encourage us to have more stuff, and they have enough server space to add more books, and they have enough server space to encourage us to buy more accounts and have more characters sitting around with more storage chests filled with new holiday loot, but they can't just make more chest space available to existing characters?
I call BS on that.

more storage means more server space needed by anet. they should offer more storage but theyll most likely want to sell it on their online store

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...
We are already dropping $10 on extra character slots (or $10-20 on extra accounts) for storage space. What difference is it to us if they charge us for an extra chest instead? I would rather have two Chests available to my main account rather than have to switch back and forth between accounts and try to remember where I keep stuff.
And I think a lot of people would drop ten bucks easily on an extra chest.
As it stands now, my chest has one tab pretty much devoted to tomes, half a tab devoted to dyes, another devoted to armors (only one char with multiple armors, which will change soon), and one tab with all my equipment requisitions, trade contracts, Destroyer Cores, etc. Not to mention a few items that are universally needed among my characters (perfect salvage and such). I literally have maybe one tab worth of space for storage and shuffling. One good farm run/holiday event, and I am locked down. I have to keep scrolls on a mule because I have no space in my chest.
FFS, buy the new server, start charging $10 for each extra chest, and let us be packrats to our hearts content.
